Here is a close-up shot of a larger work in progress. Per usual, I got a bit too detailed in my drawing phase. It’s easy to get into the weeds. A fair amount of this work will be embellished as it is painted. I have decided to give the architecture a more prominent role in this one and I plan to spend some time fleshing it out. I am excited to see where it leads as I am trying something a bit different in terms of technique. It will require even more patience and time. I spent a significant amount of time choosing the figures and their placement within the painting. Now to roll up my sleeves and paint!
